Let them Eat Cake - 2000 French & Saunders

Hillarous and a favourite of mine that I keep coming back to.

I found it at JB many years ago and thought it quite obscure given usually you hear all about anything French and Saunders do so I gave it a go.

Lo and behold what a corker of a series - only six eppisodes but packed full of their usual dark humour and set at the Court of Louis XVI palace in Versailles - shortly before the revolution actually.

French and Saunders have put together a very accurate portrayal of that time period in a hillarous plot with excellent back up actors, quick whit and retors that have you rolling in laughter.

If I was a school teacher I'd be paying it to my high school history students.

If you can find it - I thoroughly reccomend it for yourself or as a gift to your mother or girlfriends.
